Well sister, since you are a daughter of the King that means you are a princess and your prince will come. He has searched tirelessly for you. I'll begin the story in the book of Ruth. If you are not familiar with the story, Ruth had become a widow and came to live with her mother-in-law, Naomi. It was the custom in those days for the husband's family to take care of widows for the rest of their lives. I would encourage you to read the whole story in the book of Ruth, but I want to get back to the Cinderella link. Stay with me as it may seem like a stretch, but hopefully it will all fall in to place and make sense. As the story unfolds, there is a transaction made to secure a future for Ruth. Now this was the custom in former times in Israel concerning redeeming and exchanging, to confirm anything: one man took off his sandal and gave it to the other, and this was a confirmation in Israel. Ruth 4:7 There's the connection, did you get it? Each person involved in the transaction keeps a shoe. A sign that the deal is final and legal. Christ has your slipper! When you become His, the transaction is complete. I decided to do a little more checking into the tradition and looked in the Commentary on the Old Testament by Keil and Delitzsch. According to their commentary, the 
custom existed among the Indians and ancient Germans. It was a symbol of the transfer of a possession or right of ownership. The primitive word used quwm (koom) translates as accomplish, enjoin, establish, uphold, remain. So being as we are redeemed by the Blood of Christ and the deal is complete, He has your "glass slipper." When He returns as the Prince of Peace, princess, he will bring your "glass slipper" to establish his ownership of you. Can you hardly wait to slip your foot in and be joined with your Savior for eternity? Until then, rest assured, your prince will come.
